We've had a similar problem. When we try to open Acad 2004+ files with Intellicad 4, we get that same error message. They open fine in Icad 5.1, but not in V4. Try downloading Icad 5 trial and see if that opens it.

We've run into that problem in our office as well. We're running Intellicad 5.1 under Win2K and have the same trouble. No idea why as of yet.

Try to use the 'recover' command (in File). I haven't run into this particular problem, myself.

I gave your solution a try, and it sort of works. I can save drawings on my own computer and open them, on my machine, with 2001. Nobody else in the office can open them from my machine (over the network), nor from their machine when the drawing is copied over.

We haven't run into any complaints (as far as I know) from other consultants (at least, not from ones who know how to use their computers
