IS DONGLE MAKER BACKWARD COMPATIBLE?

#1
I have V13.1 PE Plus and want to move to a dongle. I bought a Sandisk metal USB drive to put it on. I see the V14 dongle maker is the only one available. Is it supposed to work?
I deactivated the license and entered the activation code in the tool. The details of the license populate as expected, but when I select my USB and press the button is says "error".

If the V14 dongle make is NOT supposed to work, I can understand. I am trying to figure out if it is the USB3.2 drive that is the issue.
If not, where can I get a copy of the V13 tool?

Thanks!

From what I’ve seen, Sandisk USBs generally work fine, even with USB 3.2. The real issue is that the V14 dongle utility won’t work with a V13 license—it only recognizes V14 activations.
You’ll need the dedicated V13 dongle maker tool. Sometimes older versions are still available through support if you contact the vendor directly, or you might find someone on the forum who can share a copy.
