I have upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2 PE+ but the old problem of screen ghosting or the leaving of debris behind after a MOVE, STRETCH or COPY comand seems to have come back to haunt me. I am almost having to do a refresh after every command just to keep the screen clean. I hope a patch will soon be issued to fix this one as these types of errors should not really exist at this stage in IntelliCAD's development!

I have had this problem also my fix it to click the centermouse wheel/button and it goes away, not a big issue, I do this automatically without thinking about it. Try it.

That maybe so but upgrading means upgrading and not downgrading. This used to be an issue with a really old version of AutoCAD but they solved it and it never returned. So why is IntelliCAD V6.2 having such a problem when V6.1 hardly suffered from it? Thanks for your input tspco but as far as IntelliCAD is concerned ... I am disapointed!

IntelliCAD V6.3 is now out and I have just downloaded the free demo version just to discover this original bug still exists. I will not be upgrading this time. I have since discovered that the old problem of screen ghosting or the leaving of debris behind after a MOVE, STRETCH or COPY comands seems to be more of a problem when SNAP is on, however I use SNAP all the time and find this bug unacceptable.

Question, Do you need to have snap turned on when using these commands? I may be possible to setup a reactor to temporarily disable snap while you are in one of these commands and restore the state when the command is complete. Just a thought.

I am not getting any debris on my monitor with snaps on or off when moving, stretch and copying.

It may be your graphics card and monitor not working that well with Windows.

If this is annoying then try:

Select Tools-->Customise from the pull-down menu.

Select the toolbars tab.

Select the "Copy" toolbar icon and type the string below in the "Command" window.

^C^C^C(command "COPY" pause pause pause pause pause)(command "Redraw")

This will Redraw the screen after you copy using the toolbar.

You can also set-up Move and Stretch to Redraw after use.

To answer the above questions, I do need SNAP on all the time as I am an electrical systems designer and all my electrical drawings are drawn to a 5mm grid.

Its true that the graphics card on my work PC is not a high spec but I have also used IntelliCAD on my Dell system at home which is equipped with the latest accelerated 256MB graphics card and the same bug still persists.

The card is the only thing I could think of.

Like I said, I'm not having this problem at all so there must be something other than ICAD that's causing this.

I do get some ghosting of the cursor crosshairs and this could be from the mouse acceleration settings that have caused issues in the past.

Thanks for your assistance but I do have two very different PC's replicating the same bug.

Your previous comment about getting the commands to redraw after use maybe helpful but I am unsure of exactly what to type in the command window for the copy button. Could you help me out with a cut and paste example?

John, this did seem to work, at first, but unfortunitly i have discovered other disadvantages. After the fourth selection the command seems to end and other commands stop working properly. Sometimes the button then assumes the command of the comand used after it stopped working ... if that makes any sense? I have returned the button back to its original command. What I really need is a fix for the original problem and no chance of that happening at the mo.
