I am trying to write a VBA routine that will freeze the layer that a picked entity is on, similar to ACAD's express tools freeze layer.
I know this is done in lisp but VBA would be much nicer and easier to use.
I can get all information necessary via GetEntity and GetSubEntity (will get xref entity information), however this requires the object to be picked twice if it is an xref.
So, if it is an xref how do I go about getting the subentity information (the layer, color, etc. of the entity in the xref) along with the regular information (as if it were a normal line in drawing) with just one click of the mouse?
Your help is much appreciated,
Scott
