I have a drawing in which I created a font style called Arial, using the arial font. It works fine, but when I close the drawing, then re-open it, the Arial font style is still there in the drawing, but Intellicad has decided to change the font it uses to the Simplex.shx font instead.
What's going on?

If I understand you correct then you are looking to set the standard font to Arial.
You can set this in the template drawing so the default is always Arial.
Also check out the ICAD.lsp file as this will run every time a drawing is opened and this could be changing the Font back to Simplex.
Check the propmt history when you first open the drawing as there may be font substitution occuring if the file paths are not set.
