Seems the standard CMS response is just to reinstall. Just like Microsoft.
I'm pretty disappointed in what has happened regarding customer service. It seemed like such a great implementation of Intellicad. I also see one of my "bad" posts was removed. It's your site. I was hoping it would provide an impetus to actually help.
But like I said, trial period over, have removed CMS. I think the crashes are some inherant problem with Intellicad. I have an older Cadopia version run on XP and it had issues of hanging up and crashing. I'll probably just find a conversion program and be done with it.

No, what we have said is to update the version build, not uninstalling and reinstalling the same one.
Software is not the same, and they have bug fixing.

You have no grounds to be disappointed in what has happened regarding customer service, simply because you are not one of our paying customers. So that's why you don't get dedicated support.

In fact, we have probably the best technical support in the CAD market. But it's not free.

Also our software is not like Microsoft. Actually we include free updates to v7.0 and to 7.1 to all of our customers.
As we've said, we work on a daily basis to improve our software quality. And we are improving.

You are free not to like it.

We invite everybody to the free forum. As you were free to get in here, you are also free to get out. But you are not welcome to post support complaints for what you are not entitle to to get.

Thanks
CMS, Inc.

Then I apologize. I completely misunderstood the phrase "trial period". CMS was on trial for a period of time.
And thanks for the response. It clarified everything. You run a great government operation.

Hi Wayne,

I feel your pain, but can't agree with your angst. I too have been having a number of problems with Intellicad 7 in the production setting of our shop on several seats.

However CMS was very helpful with downgrading my license to Intellicad 6.6 which is very solid. If you try working with Vitor in a positive manner he may well work you a deal to get you into 6.6 with later update to Intellicad 7.

I see much potential in Intellicad 7. Many of my old irritations have been addressed. For that reason I have chosen to keep working on 7 on my home system and use the feedback form to report bugs in the hope that it will help the developers in their processes. I really look forward to working with Intellicad 7 as it matures.

So you can upgrade to Autocad 2011 for $3800 to $4000 and get marginal support or Work Intellicad for $300. It's a choice thing.
