Hi
I'm currently running Intellicad V4.?? on win98se, yes it's old but it works
I'm being forced thro' other unsupported software to move on, but no further than XP, so my question is-
What computer specification is recommended for the latest version of Intellicad
Do I need a separate graphics card or will an 'integral to the motherboard' do
Answers on a postcard..............

Hi sln8458,
No, you do not need a separate graphics card. The one that comes with the new PC should be sufficient. The most important thing is RAM. More RAM is always recommendable.

Thanks for the Graphics info JC, Lots of RAM, yes lots
............ BUT
What about the rest
eg:
In a past life the Drawing Office aways got new computers whenever one was approved for another Dept' & the old DO machine was handed over. As CAD was SOOOO demading of a PC, if it was good enought for the DO then it was ample for word processing etc
From what you are saying, or more NOT saying, almost any spec PC will do providing you have a BIG bucket of RAM

So I've moved to win 7 (64), & just installed my old version 4.?? & I'm getting an 'out of memory' error message.
The PC has Intel core2Quad CPU Q8300/2.5GHz, 4.0GB ram. No other programs running!!!!
Any suggestions?
Would upgrading to version 7.? (intellicad) make things better or worse?

Hi,
4.x version is too old and not compatible with Windows 7, so you may get some problems while running it on that OS.
I suggest you to download the trial version of CMS IntelliCAD 7.1, which is 100% compatible with Win7 (32/64bits), and try it for yourself. You can, then, decide if it would make things better or not.
