it's under the vpoint menu. I need it. I can't find any mention of it in the help files. I am unable to get it to do anything. Does this capability really exist in Icad?
I hate how 3d hidden line renderings look without perspective. Especially architecture. Everything looks like Fred Flintstone designed it.

I'm talking about creating a 3D wireframe model in three dimensional space. (as opposed to 3D solids,) Then, doing a hidden line rendering of this model, and including perspective in the rendering to give the model a realistic look.
I'm talking about real 3D. Whichever view I choose to create the rendering from, shouldn't matter.
I'm asking if Intellicad, or Autocad have this capability. Cadkey, the program I've been using for the last eight years does have this capability. I design furniture for a living, and lately have been doing some architectural work as well. If I show a customer a rendering of a house without perspective, it looks rediculous.
It's been my experience that the majority of mechanical designers I've come across do not care one way or another about this capability. (The smaller the actual size of the object being created, the less it matters.) In art and architecture it's really important.
So, I really need to know, can acad or Icad do this?

IntelliCAD does have the capability of 3d surface modelling. You can use the 3D basic surface volumes, or create surfaces based on wireframe structures.
You can acces the 3d surfaces toolbar by right clicking any icon and choosing the surfaces toolbar, it'll pop up.
I've created architectural models with IntelliCAD, exteriors and interiors.
There is also the rendering module, it comes with the PE version. The LT does not include it. With the rendering module you can assign material properties like shining, reflection, refraction, etc. Define lightning schemes, light color and shadows.
You can render in isometric or perspective views.
If you're interested, we can go on the disscusion of 3d entities in ICAD.
I think images cannot be displayed here in the forum, but if anyone is interested, I can email images of 3d-models done in IntelliCAD.
