All of a sudden when I select an object and try to copy, move or edit it, it deselects and a "Selection Dialog Box" opens and asks to select again and then I can copy, move or edit it. Text works the same way. I have tried to find a system variable that I may have inadvertently changed, but can't find it. Can anyone help?

The answer is PICKFIRST system variable. Should be "on". I don't know how it got turned off. But it worked.
