Set a 3D view in the middle of a drawing

Hi,
I have a 3D drawing of my house, and I want to be able to look from the middle of a room and do a full render. Right now, the view is always from outside and the walls block the interior view.
Do I have to put each wall in a different layer and turn off the ones I want to see through?
Any help will be appreciated.
