Could anyone tell me of the differences between Cadopia and CMS versions of intellicad. I assume that these are the two most popular "brands" and that the tweaking of each may be better for different work.
Thanks

Bricscad, Cadopia and CMS are active in the marketing of IntelliCAD.

Each one differs in the final bug testing and robustness of the final product.

The choice would depend on the long term plans of each of these dealers and commitment through support and development of powerful addons.

I have learned the expensive way that the Cadopia versionhas a number of bugs that do not seem to be present in other versions. But is also seems like some of the other versions have bugs not present in Cadopia, so I suppose its a tradeoff.
But I have learned that Cadopia tech support is virtually non-existant, or possibly even worse. When you ask a question they ask you to email them the relevant file(s) and then promptly ignore the email.
They also apparently delete forum posts that are not flattering to Cadopia, so even if another user has a possible solution or workaround, and is willing to share, you may never find out about it because the post could be deleted.
I am currently preparing to buy a copy of Intellicad from another company, if I can find a version that doesn't have the entity snap bug in VBA. I'll just write the cost of my Cadopia copy off as "educational"

You should decide what features are important to you, and verify that the version that you are looking at does not have bugs in those critical features before you buy. Good luck
