Is it possible to turn off the entity snap icon that appears adjacent to the crosshairs when a running snap is set? I only want the highlighted aperture box to show.

The icon was a feature in the early versions of ICAD and it has been left over in the code ever since.

By being in the original code without any method or system variable to turn these on or off I think we are stuck with them.

It is possible to remove the icons, it's just not very practical to do so. The icons are stored in the icad.exe file, in the cursors section. Use a program to explore/edit resource files, such as Resource tuner . Method: Rename icad.exe to icad2.exe. Open icad2.exe with Resource Tuner. Locate and extract a blank icon in the cursor section of icad2.exe to a file. Replace each of the snap icons in that section with the blank icon. Save file as icad.exe.
P.S. The blank icon must match the size/depth of the snap icon (32x32/1 bit or 32x32/4 bits respectively)
