PDF xrefs printing badly

I'm having a mission critical issue with printing from IntelliCAD.
I brought it into AutoCAD, and the print looks fine, it looks just like the PDF, which is all I need.
If you look at the print from IntelliCAD, without any modifications, the PDF is not legible.
What can I do to fix this?
I have to use xrefed PDFs frequently for this client, and I need them to be legible, like the AutoCAD print.
Also, why are the Shaded Viewport Options in my dialog grayed out? It's showing the DPI as 0, I'm wondering if that is part of the issue.
