What are the keystrokes please. to activate the tanget command to click on one circle and create a line to then click to the next circle to drop the line to the circle and thus a tangent created. Was much easier in autocad. Is this not a simple functiuon in Intellicad 11.1?
Thanks.

Hi, thank you for your reply. It explains perfectly how to create/construct a tangent . I understand this method but was looking to see if there was a method similar to autocad whereby you right click to pull up a menu, click on tangent, pick a point on the first circle and click then it auto draws a line to the next circle onto which you click again and it auto joins. HOwever, I see you are a veteran user and would have already sussed it out if that were available so my question is answered so I do thank you. At least I know now for sure. (merci beaucoup?)
au revoir
Richard.

to get the selection menu to display within an active command press ctrl + right click together, ie hold down ctrl and right click.
Give it a whirl

Hi Richard,
You can also set the Snap to Tangent only, then throw the command "line".
