Hi All,

Assume I have a 2.9958" cube.?
I need to round one face by adding a arc at 5.875 DIA.
How would i accomplish this.?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Eric,

Here is how I would do it.

1. draw a square in the xy plane
2. set, settings - entity snap - endpoint and midpoint snap
3. draw a horizontal line through the midpoints of the vertical sides.
4. trim the line outside the square to determine your circle's centerpoint, (assuming you wish to draw a concave surface)
5. draw a circle with its center at the the endpoint of the line, and its radius at the end of the upper (surface) line of the square
6. use break to break the circle where it intersects the square, keeping the internal arc (remember to click on first point, firstly, in the little tool bar window)
7. explode the square to create 4 lines, delete the one line you do not wish to keep
8. now select and copy the 4 lines in the z-direction, say @0,0,4.0
9. using the dynamic view control, adjust (rotate) your view so you can see the modified cube in perspective
10. create another layer, let's call it "final"
11. use insert - 3d entities - coons surface and choose 4 entities to create a surface. Left mouse click this surface, right click and choose properties (left click). Move the surface to the layer, "final", and click ok.
12. repeat step 11 for the remaining 5 sides.
13. turn the 0 layer off, and the "final" layer on - you should see the desired cube. You can now use View - Rendering - Hide, Shade, Render or Full Render

It may not be the best way, but it is A way.
