Intellicad explorer/ designcenter

Trying to use Intellicad rev 14 explorer like i did with autodesk designcenter. I can explore inside a currently open drawing but i can not explore file system to find other drawings or look into folders. wondering if some environment variable needs set or if im missing a menu item or tool bar?

I think Intellicad Explorer is not exactly the same as Autodesk Designcenter. AutoCAD's Designcenter allows you to browse the file system and drag and drop blocks, layers... from other drawings, while Intellicad's Explorer usually focuses on managing resources in the open drawing (layers, dimstyles, textstyles...).
Check the Tools -> Explorer menu to see if there is a tab for Folders or Files. If not, Intellicad R14 probably does not support browsing the file system directly like AutoCAD. A temporary solution is to open another drawing and copy/paste the object, or use the INSERT command to insert blocks from an external file.

I am running 13.1.
Intellicad Explorer allows the user to copy from one open drawing to another open drawing.
Layers, blocks, fonts ........ the only thing I can't do is search for another drawing on my system and copy from that.
may be possible in 14, haven't tried that ....yet

Thank you for the help, . I will have to structure some drawings with what i want to be able to inherit in other drawings/projects where i can open a few up and use them as a design center instead of using the filesystem directory trees that i am familiar with in ACAD. Good to get a second opinion. It would appear the only thin i miss after from defecting from the autodesk hostage situation is the designcenter
