Zoom troubles

My office has got the trial version of Intellicad 5 running on a couple of machines (testing out capabilities, etc.) Some of our machines are running version 4 (2001). When we back-save drawings to 2000 dwg format, the zoom no longer works when the drawings are opened in 2001. Has anybody got any ideas about this one?

Sorry no, but it's a serious problem to go unanswered. I regulary saveas R14 (from V5 bricscad) and open them in Icad98 and they work perfectly.

Thank you, Mr. Gaunt. I'll give it a shot.

I should add I do that if I am sending to Autocad users because they sometimes can't see xrefs unless files are saved in Icad98. I suspect they could if they knew how to manage xrefs better, but there it is.
No one else seems to have the problem, it's the only hiccup I have transporting files either way although some Autocad files are badly behaved - even used to get that when I used Autocad.

I gave your solution a try, and it sort of works. I can save drawings on my own computer and open them, on my machine, with 2001. Nobody else in the office can open them from my machine (over the network), nor from their machine when the drawing is copied over.
Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.
