I can't find any way to change the color of the selection window, nor the created geometry. It seems like these are black and white no matter what. Consequently the choice of backgrond colors seems to eliminate those two choices

Also, is there any way to see a "rubberband" line in the middle of a line or polyline command? (as a sort of visual cue.)

Doesn't seem to be much help around here.
Ok In learning about layer control, I also learned about changing the color of the created geometry, but I still cannot find a way to change the color of the windowing tool. Is anyone out there??

I don't think you can change the color of the selection window. There is no system variable that controls this, which means it is probably hard-coded in the program. What would be the point of doing so anyway?

I don't understand your second question: the line you are drawing should be constantly visible anyway. Do you perhaps mean when you are drawing lines using keyboard input only? Hmm..

Sorry about this. Some of it is my own confusion.. I'm coming at this from another cad program, (cadkey) In which there are some variables that Icad doesn't support.

when I want to select several entities close together one method of selecting them would be by enclosing them in a window.. that's the window I'm talking about. apparently in Icad, you get either black or white. If you have a black display, then a white window is fine, and with a white display, and black window is fine as well. If you choose some in between color, say #251 gray, for the display color, the black window is a little harder to see... that's all I'm talking about. In cadkey, I can set this color to bright orange for instance... no big deal...

As far as seeing a "rubberband" image during the creation of a polyline segment, that was my own stupid mistake. I was experimenting with screen colors, and was accidently drawing white lines on a white screen... I'd finish a segment and it would disappear. very embarrassing.. sorry.

OK, now I get you, no there is no way of changing the selection window colour unfortunately. This is actually the first time I have ever seen this asked, whether on Autocad or Intellicad, as most people either use a black or white background. Sorry about that.
